Some celebrities chose to ring in the new year by putting their New York City properties on the market. Here’s a peek into a few of the more private abodes that are now available for rent or purchase — that is, for anyone who’s able to afford them.

Lady Gaga’s spacious (at 2,000 square feet) apartment, located at 40 Central Park South, is available for rent — at a cool $33,000 per month. While the pop star was renting the same space for $22,000, she also added some decorative touches — such as rose-colored mirrors — to accent the area, thereby driving up the price. (Presumably, the fact that Lady Gaga once lived in the apartment — she took up residence here in 2013 — would cause an uptick in itself.) The unit features a chef’s kitchen, a formal dining room, and a gigantic master bath, as well as four private terraces. Former celebrity residents also include Lance Armstrong, Liza Minnelli, and Michael Bennett.

If it’s sweeping views of Central Park you’re seeking, look no further than the townhouse Bruce Willis has just put on the market. The property, listed at $17.75 million, boasts 6,000 square feet, including 150 feet of prime Central Park frontage. Views are mainly prominent from either the elegant dining room and the impressive living room, making the space perfect for anyone who loves to entertain. While the price tag may cause an initial bout of sticker shock, eagle-eyed shoppers will note that it’s not entirely out of line with the Upper West Side address.

For the opportunity to own a piece of history, check out the townhouse once owned by famed illusionist Harry Houdini. This 5-level (including the basement) marvel of architecture is registered as a historical landmark, boasting many unique details such as the front doors with their original brass fixtures, as well as a grand mahogany staircase. Houdini resided in the townhouse from 1904 until his death in 1926. At 6,008 square feet, the building now houses three separate units: A two-bedroom duplex; a two-bedroom apartment; and another one-bedroom unit. The ideal investment property for a discerning buyer, Houdini’s former home is listed at $4.6 million and was placed on the market in June 2017.
